It was lovely to be invited back to create a podcast for the mighty mycellium music network that female:pressure.
I really enjoyed weaving together this collection of music that is created by artists that dare to be rare and are dedicated to their craft.
Most of the artists I have discovered and/or connected with via the female:pressure international community. A couple others come from comrades from my community here in Manchester, UK.
Also featured is the “Holding” piece I made for The Verb on Radio 3 last year, with voice by Kola Tubosun that is a taster of the sound world of my forthcoming fourth album “Electric Mountain.” And Jlin is in there because I love the intricacy of her work and the more intuitive footwork rhythms.
I feel it is still important to amplify the womxn making electronic music.
