teaching

electronic music production, creative expression and technical skills

I love my work helping others to develop their creative expression, technical skills and confidence. I design and deliver workshops and larger scale education projects in school and community settings.

I have worked for many arts organisations including Bridgewater Hall, Drake Music, Brighter Sound, Sound and Music, One Education, Yorkshire Sound Women’s Network, Huddersfield University, Delia Derbyshire Day, Manchester Youth Music Hub, Chester University and Birmingham Conservatoire.

I also act as a mentor for people starting out with music technology and in the music industry.

Contact me via the form below to discuss how I can help you or others benefit from the joy and power of making music.

One Education Music music tech specialist

I have designed and delivered courses in over 40 primary schools plus Pupil Referral Units and SEN schools. I am leading on the Ableton Push Initiative and a Charanga VIP support project in secondary schools alongside training/CPD for teachers.

Delia Derbyshire Day

I fundraise for and manage the education strand as part of my work with this electronic music charity. We are passionate about inspiring and empowering the next generation of electronic music composers, producers, engineers and sound designers. Chester University – teaching student teachers
I have been invited back for a few years now to run a module for student teachers about using music technology (mainly Garageband app) in primary schools to aid music education and creative curriculum learning. It’s so rewarding to see passionate new teachers become confident with technology and aware of accessibility and diversity in music education.
