Here’s a little thing wrote for the 25th anniversary of the trams in Manchester and the 21st birthday of The Bridgewater Hall.

I took a ride from Chorlton tram stop direct up to Rochdale Train Station, recording sounds on the way using my new Rode iXY stereo mic which I am quite pleased with. It has that characteristic Rode transparency and sparkle. I also interviewed kind and trusting tram passengers waiting on the platform.

The piece was then produced using only the recordings collected on that journey, using my electronic music production tools and techniques.
