I am excited to embark on 1 year of consultancy for Oldham Music Service as their resident electronic music expert. I am supporting the music education service to integrate music technology and electronic music making approaches to their borough-wide provision.
Working with staff, teachers, pupils and students we will build confidence, competence and capacity in embracing electronic music as an inclusive and exciting aspect of music education.
I’m running a techies club for Oldham Music Service staff and Oldham borough teachers to come along each month to explore and experiment with tools and techniques from making music to recording rehearsals and concerts. I also put together a dream team of local women working in electronic music, to co-design and lead an electronic music-making summer school for teenage girls at Mahdlo youth centre. This included training staff and young people to continue the creativity in their Saturday Club.
